INSA Lyon’s Sports Centre

The Sports Centre is composed of 16 physical education teachers, all specialised in one or more sports activities. These are their 3 main missions:

  • To teach physical education through classic, specialised or adapted courses
  • To supervise and to develop the Sports Association managed by students
  • To support students of the High Level Sports section

Physical Education courses (named "EPS" in French)

INSA Lyon considers "EPS" courses as a crucial component of engineering studies. It teaches students strong values such as teamwork and it strengthens their ability to adapt and take on challenging tasks. "EPS" courses are graded in the student's general assessment.

The Sports Association (AS INSA)

It brings together students who wish to specialise in a sports activity. It includes a specialised course every week and a participation in the French University Varsity (FFSU) championships. One third of the total number of INSA students are members of the Sports Association. The association's results are outstanding, with many championship titles every year, and selections for the European University Sport Association, the Universiades and world championships.
